Today we celebrate International Financial Intelligence Units Day – a day that recognizes the vital role of financial intelligence units in protecting the global financial system and strengthening international cooperation in combating money laundering and terrorist financing.

June 9 marks the founding of the Egmont Group, at the Egmont Palace in Brussels, in 1995 – a symbol of collaboration and secure exchange of information between Financial Intelligence Units around the world.
