The event brought together representatives from Egmont Group member Financial Intelligence Units, international organizations, and partner institutions involved in preventing and combating money laundering and the financing of terrorism.<br><br>   One of the topics extensively discussed during the plenary session was the strengthening of public-private partnerships in the context of the evolving landscape of financial risks. In this regard, debates took place concerning the development of information sharing and joint action mechanisms among financial intelligence units, law enforcement and supervisory authorities, and representatives of the financial sector. <br><br>   The discussions highlighted that public-private partnerships can contribute to improving the quality of reporting on suspicious transactions and activities, as well as to the faster identification of new typologies and effective measures to combat this phenomenon.<br><br>   During the meeting, examples were presented regarding the use of artificial intelligence-based technologies and other digital solutions to strengthen processes for analyzing and identifying suspicious activities. At the same time, participants emphasized that the use of these technologies must comply with standards concerning information security and data protection, while also respecting the essential role of the human element in the decision-making process.<br><br>   The meeting agenda also included a session dedicated to new trends and risks in the field of terrorist financing. The report presented on this subject indicates that financing methods are becoming increasingly diversified and decentralized, as well as difficult to distinguish from legitimate economic activity.
