This event was held with the support of the project \"Strengthening the Anti-Money Laundering and Asset Recovery Regime in the Republic of Moldova\", implemented through the Partnership for Good Governance program of the European Union and the Council of Europe.<\/p>\n<p>At the beginning of the event, Mr. Andrian Munteanu, Deputy Director of the Service, welcomed the participants, emphasizing the importance of involvement and inter-institutional cooperation <strong>to strengthen a national system<\/strong> able to prevent and <strong>to deter financial fraud<\/strong>. At the same time, Mr. Munteanu expressed gratitude for the constant support provided by external partners in the process of development and alignment with European standards.<\/p>\n<p>The need to organize this workshop came following the approval of the European Union Package on the prevention and fight against money laundering, as well as in the context of the implementation of the National Accession Plan. The meeting provided a structured platform where the existing legislative and procedural inconsistencies were examined, including the provisions of Directive (EU) 2024\/1640 and Regulation (EU) 2024\/1624, and finally the steps to be implemented for the harmonization of the national framework were discussed.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Anti-Money Laundering Service organized a workshop with the objective of aligning the national framework for preventing and combating money laundering and terrorist financing with European Union standards.
