Workshop on draft guidelines on PEPs was organized by CLEP Project of EU and CoE along with Office for Prevention and Fight against Money Laundering

The Workshop on draft guidelines of Political exposed persons organized by the Office for Prevention and Fight against Money Laundering with the assistance of the Council of Europe and European Union Project Controlling Corruption through Law Enforcement and Prevention CLEP.

During 19th to 21st of March 2018, the Office for Prevention and Fight against Money Laundering with the assistance of the Council of Europe and European Union Project Controlling Corruption through Law Enforcement and Prevention CLEP organized 4 workshops with the reporting entities on political Exposed persons. the FATF standards were presented by Council Europe expert Giuseppe Lombardo as well as the presentation of the draft guidelines on PEPs the practice of EU countries, mainly Lithuanian example in implementing the PEPs provisions were presented by EU High level adviser Igoris Krzeckovskis.

More than 80 representatives of the reporting entities such as the financial institutions, auditing companies, dealers in precious metals and stones, professional participants in insurance and securities market, microfinances, as well as the supervisory authorities, Chamber of Marking, National Commission for Financial Market.

Active discussion as well as practical exercises on the application on the provision on Peps, took place during the workshop.
